I see in my minds-eye the framing of perfect image. I snap the picture and make it public by posting it on OutsideTheBoxx.net. I dream a story or go on a journey, then put it on paper, then feel compelled to put it on this website for all to enjoy. Occasionally I discover something—an object, activity, gift, or some such—that strikes my fancy and I want to share it with others. These items will now be available for you to purchase from the Outside The Boxx Marketplace. For the most part, these products and services are uncommon, distinctive, exceptional, rare, hard to find, unique, and certainly not redundant. It is a collection you will only find outside the box.

Keep in mind that buying stuff from Outside the Boxx will help support my website. I spend up to 30 hours a week developing and maintaining this cyber place where I hope visitors will be inspired and entertained by a world that is outside the box. It is my job as well as a place where my artist's soul can find expression. By necessity it is also a business, so if you find these products and services that are outside the box to your liking, then know that I greatly appreciate your shopping with me.

I firmly support living as simply as possible. I'm disgusted by our over-consuming society. I live in a very small home, buy mostly organic; I reuse and recycle as much as I can. However, I also espouse the concept that life should be a sensual journey. The occasional purchase of a gift for yourself or someone else, if thoughtfully considered, does NOT make you a bad citizen of the Earth. I am very conscious of the purpose and amount of the material wealth I acquire. This level of consumption will be different for everyone. I strive to get as much satisfaction, joy, information, quality, usefulness, and pleasure as I can from the limited amount of stuff that I buy. I don't believe one has to starve themselves of all material indulgence to be a good environmentalist or find spiritual fulfillment. I think if a person gives ample thought to all their actions, considering how their choices will affect the Whole, then you will make the right decision and buy just what you need; no more, no less.
