Photos
Taking photographs is, for me, a form of storytelling; short stories for sure, since they express only an instant in time. The plot is limited to a single scene, and that singular moment is interpreted only as I see it. The light changes seconds after I secure the shot. The heron flies off. The wave gives way to sand. If I crouch down, step to the right or left, zoom in or out, I've edited the story. However, fleeting as the story may be, words can never express the details so fluently.
The album is an assembly of my favorite snapshots, they tell good stories but are not reproductive quality photographs. The portfolio is a collection of the best pictures that I've taken over the years. Most of them are scenes capturing nature in some form of beauty or another. They are available in various sized prints, greeting cards, computer wallpaper, and an annual calendar.
