I spent the whole day packing the house. My mental organization list was very helpful. I was able to get through each room quickly with a few plastic tubs and labels for dedicated to each room: “stays in Bend”, “goes to ranch”, sticks with us wherever we are. The cat and dogs and Bob were the only fur-sures earning the latter label.
Bob took a few hours off to go snowboarding with his nephew, Chris, who is at Mt. Bachelor with some of his buddies. We certainly didn’t have the space in our day for Bob to do this but sometimes you just have to make these concessions in order to put your priorities right. Bob loves his nephew and wishes he could spend more time with him and connect more deeply by doing something they both like. This was his chance, so he took it. It meant staying up until midnight to keep on schedule, but that is what he did.
