Trophy Trout

A dozen trophy (20+inches) Redband trout were caught (and released) at the ranch this past week by our fly fishing guests. I went after the small ones. Caught lots, kept ’em, ate ’em.

Little Eddy’s front legs looks like they are starting to bow. Did some research and it must be corrected right away. We’ve put all the horses in the paddock to keep Eddy from walking so much–one of the possible reasons for bowing legs. This will also keep Mama off the great spring grass. It seems that growing too fast due to rich mother’s milk can also be a problem for straight leg development. Hoping to avoid vet intervention. Who knew having a baby would require so much time and attention.
