Left Jbay and drove to Transkei. Got a couple days of small beachbreak for Dawn but no good waves for me. Bad winds mostly.

 

Swell came up big (too big) and we headed for South Coast Natal.

 

Woke at Mzumbe next day and it was pumping. 10′ solid and too big for the spots. Didn’t go to Durban but I should have because Graeme said it was cooking.

 

Headed to Durban the next morning early. It was fun head-high and not too crowded. Had a couple sessions adding up to about 3+ hours. Pretty good surf day. Always interesting place to surf.

 

Next morning went up to Scottburgh. Fun head-high sandbar waves. Surfed a couple hours and got exhausted. Warm clean water. Good day.

 

Headed to North Coast next day. Didn’t find anything great and ended up just swimming at a cool beach.

 

Went up to Mozambique Punta do Ouro for a morning. Bad winds and small swell. Headed back into SA.

 

Bodysurfed a cool beach we boated out to. beautiful warm clear water. Body whompers.

 

Now heading to Zambezi river for rafting. Maybe some sufing in a couple weeks.
